The Summer Olympics Games are just around the corner, and Paris is gearing up with a spectacular display on one of its most iconic landmarks. Organizers have unveiled plans to adorn the Eiffel Tower with a grand structure of the Olympic rings, signaling the countdown of 100 days to the Games.

This striking feature, crafted from recycled French steel, will be 29 meters wide and 15 meters tall, situated on the tower’s south side, offering a picturesque view over the Seine River. The opening event on July 26 will be a sight to behold, with over 10,500 athletes participating in a parade along a 6-kilometer stretch of the Seine at sunset.

The Eiffel Tower, a symbol of Paris, will be a focal point during the Games from July 26 to August 11 and the following Paralympics. An interesting tidbit about the Olympic and Paralympic medals is that they will include fragments from the tower, intertwining Paris’s heritage with the spirit of the games. The anticipation for the 2024 Games has already increased footfall at this 330-meter landmark.

To prepare for this monumental display, work to mount the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower will commence by the month’s end, as per the latest announcement from the organizers.
